- Confirm the available storage space of your institution.
- Confirm the date when your domain will implement the new shared storage policy.
- Refer to relevant resources to learn about new storage space management tools.

Total organizational capacity of the unit
newGoogle Workspace Education Edition Shared Storage ModelNot only does it provide 100TB of basic shared storage space for all your users, but it also offers additional storage space for the following customers:
- For institutions with more than 20000 active users, for each additional user, the institution will automatically receive an additional 5GB of basic storage space.
*The number of active users refers to the maximum number of unique logged in users in the past 180 days, which can be calculated within 30 daysView in the management console. The system will automatically update this value twice a year and adjust your total storage space accordingly.
- For Google Workspace Education customers using the following versions:
- Google Workspace Education Plus EditionFor every license of this version, an additional 20 GB of shared storage space can be added. For customers who continue to use the G Suite Education Enterprise Edition (old version) license, an additional 100 GB of shared storage space can be added for each paid employee license.
- Teaching and Learning Upgraded VersionFor every license of this version, an additional 100 GB of shared storage space can be added.
Important NoticeAccording to the above policy, the available storage space of the unit isone hundredTB。 The new shared storage space policy applicable to organizations will be implementedJul-22take effect.
In order to enable administrators to have a clearer understanding, control, and insight into your organization’s storage space usage, we have released a new storage space management tool. We suggest that you regularly use these new tools to check how much storage space your organization is using and how much available storage space is left. With these new storage space management tools, you can perform the following actions:
- View a summary of storage space usage for the entire organization.
- View the storage space used by a specific product (such as cloud storage or Gmail).
- View the top users in terms of storage space usage in your organization.
- View the top ranked shared cloud drives in terms of storage space usage within your organization.
- Get the storage space limit warning for the domain.
- Get detailed reports on storage space usage.
- Set storage space limits for individual users by organizational department (OU) or group.
- Delete the shared cloud drive through the management console.

- Analyze the storage space usage of your institution.
- Set and manage storage space limits for individual users.
- Check the storage space usage of shared cloud storage and adjust the shared cloud storage policy.

- Please help your users prepare to adapt to the personal storage space limit you may have set.
