Preface Introduction
Minecraft: Education Edition is an open world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment, with the only limitation being your imagination.
Minecraft: Education Edition is a teaching version of Minecraft specifically designed for classroom use. It was jointly developed by Mojang AB and Xbox Game Studios, and includes features that make Minecraft easy to use in the classroom. The complete game was released on November 1, 2016. [3] The beta version testing was conducted between June 9th and November 1st, 2016.
On August 20, 2018, Mojang announced that it would support iPad in the 2018 Autumn Education Edition. Microsoft stated that licensed users can start using it in September. It was released on the App Store on September 6, 2018.
Educational Edition Features
Simple classroom collaboration: Educators have reported that the biggest advantage of Minecraft: Education Edition is that students can collaborate to complete projects and solve problems. A classroom with up to 30 students can play in one world without setting up multiple servers. Students can also collaborate easily in pairs or groups by joining their classmates’ world.
NPC: Educators can create an NPC to act as an in-game guide for students, issue commands, provide more information, and also allow educators to insert a web link to external resources.
Camera briefcase: An important aspect of teaching with Minecraft is the ability to collect information about the learning process and track students’ progress within the game. The camera and briefcase functions allow students to take screenshots of their achievements and upload documents of their project progress.
Blackboard: Blackboard builders can use blackboards to communicate learning goals, provide additional information, and issue clear commands within the game. Blackboards come in three different sizes:
Stone slab (1 × 1), banner (2 × 1), and large blackboard (3 × 2). Tutorial World: For educators and students who are new to Minecraft, they can play the tutorial world to guide them in navigating, synthesizing, placing, and destroying blocks within the game.
Allow and Reject Blocks: These blocks allow educators (or other players with the privilege of modifying the world) to plan the areas that players are allowed to build and those that are not allowed to build.
Boundary Blocks: These blocks do not allow players to enter or leave an area. The affected area extends along the Y coordinate from the X and Z coordinate planes where the blocks are placed. This area has the same shape as a pebble wall, but is flat with a red texture and particle effect.
Classroom Mode: This is a complimentary program in the Education Edition that allows educators to master the entire map (including all players inside), communicate with players (monitoring conversations), and set some settings for turning off/on the world. Game login

Student verification
Education email verification:Because Minecraft is currently not available in China, according to Microsoft China’s March 27, 2019 news report, “Minecraft Education Edition will be launched in China this year to stimulate Chinese students’ creativity and collaboration.” This means that China Education Email can also enjoy a free education edition this year.
So today’s tutorial uses a foreign education email that meets the verification requirements. (Buyers have reported that many foreign edu email addresses purchased from other channels are also unable to access the education version)
Qualification Example
No educational qualification
After logging into the education account, if the university institution unit of the education account has not purchased My World Education Edition, the software will prompt that it is a trial version. The number of trials is the number of times the software is logged in each time, only 10 times in total, as shown in the figure below. There is no prompt for the first login, and you need to log in once, log out of the account, and then log in again to see the content shown in the figure below.
Qualified for education
After logging into the software, qualified education accounts will be prompted to download resources and wait for the download to complete before displaying them normally. AdditionallyMinecraft courses have no limit on the number of times you can log in after logging out of your edu email.
common problem
If we log in to the game software and the prompt is as shown in the following figure“We are unable to connect to the service you are currently requesting. Please check your network link and try againperhapsWe seem unable to connect to one of the services, please try again later”Waiting for a series of errors, the reason for these situations is that Minecraft is an international version, and China needs FQ network to access MicrosoftMinecraft’s international version server.
Email retrieval
My World Education Edition requires the school to purchase it with money before students can log in and access it through email. Therefore, it is not something that can be obtained simply by applying for an edu email, because my worldminecraftThere is no free service provided to students worldwide.
