Capacity calculation

Your project storage allocation is calculated based on the following inputs:

• All qualifying institutions will have a minimum of 100 TB of pooled cloud storage shared by their organization.

• Google Workspace for Education Standard and Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals customers will receive 100 TB pooled storage.

• For each license of the Google Workspace for Education Teaching and Learning Upgrade, an additional 100 GB is added to the shared pool.

• For every license of Google Workspace for Education Plus edition, an additional 20 GB is added to the shared pool.

• Customers continuing on legacy G Suite Enterprise for Education licenses will also have 100 GB added to their shared pool per paid employee license.

• Institutions with greater than 20,000 students, faculty, and staff or 20,000 monthly active users that follow our Acceptable Use Policy qualify for additional storage.That allocation is reflected in this report.

Your project storage allocation is calculated based on the following inputs:

• Customers of Google Workspace for Education Standard and Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals will receive 100 TB of pooled storage space.

• For each license upgrade of Google Workspace for Education teaching, an additional 100 GB will be added to the shared pool.

• For each license of Google Workspace for Education Plus, an additional 20 GB will be added to the shared pool.

• Customers who continue to use the old version of G Suite Enterprise for Education license will also add 100 GB to the shared pool for each paid employee license.

• Institutions with over 20000 students, faculty, or 20000 monthly active users who comply with our acceptable usage policy are eligible for additional storage space.This allocation is reflected in this report.

Usage suggestions

When we search for Google Drive services online, we should not worry about whether they have unlimited capacity. Starting from July 22, 2022, unlimited Google cloud storage capacity has become history. After all, in the current context of expensive storage hardware and economic downturn, large companies also need to save resources and open up streams in order to better provide users with high-quality services.

We should not be deceived or tempted by unlimited capacity on Taobao or Xianyu, and we do not recommend using Google Drive services from American schools because American schools have strict monitoring of Google’s services. Some of the functions of Google Family Bucket are censored and cannot be used perfectly. Moreover, if risk control is triggered, the United States will directly disable it. Moreover, American schools often have tens of thousands or even tens of thousands of people, and the Google Drive capacity allocated to you is pitifully small; We still recommend the Google Family Bucket service for Indian universities located in the Asia Pacific region, which was manually certified by Google in 2012.
