Preface Introduction

MuJoCoIt is a physics engine aimed at promoting research and development in robotics, biomechanics, graphics and animation, and other fields that require fast and accurate simulation. It offers a unique combination of speed, accuracy, and modeling capabilities, but it’s not just a better simulator. On the contrary, it is the first fully functional simulator designed from scratch, with the aim of model-based optimization, especially through contact based optimization. MuJoCo can scale up computationally intensive technologies such as optimal control, physically consistent state estimation, system identification, and automatic mechanism design, and apply them to complex dynamic systems with rich contact behavior. It also has more traditional applications, such as testing and validating control schemes before deployment on physical robots, interactive scientific visualization, virtual environments, animations, and games.

MuJoCo version

There are three types of private licenses: student license, non-commercial license, and commercial license. WithmechanismCompared to licenses, personal license agreements are simpler (please refer to the link below) and do not require the signature of an authorized representative, but the activation key is hardware locked. Licensed users can obtain non-commercial and commercial licenses to use the software on up to 3 computers, and use a student license on one computer.

MuJoCo institutional license: 1 year

There are two types of institutional licenses: academic licenses and commercial licenses. Each has multiple subtypes as shown below. Academic licenses are limited to academic institutions only. All other organizations (including non-profit organizations, governments, research institutions) require commercial licenses.
For the Academic Lab license, we have simplified the process as follows: automatically accepting the software license agreement by paying the license feeAcademicLabSLA.pdf. Not accepting purchase orders; Payment must be made through PayPal invoice and must be received in advance; We offer an annual license of $3000 and a six-month license of $1500 (applicable to customers with card consumption restrictions). To purchase an academic laboratory license, please send an email toWe will send you a PayPal invoice and a customized SLA along with the names of the university and PI. After receiving the payment, we will send you the activation key via email and you can start using the software.
